ABOUT US
Harvest Church began in 2017 with a simple vision: We exist to grow and multiply disciples of Jesus. Our hope is to see the grace of Jesus transform lives in Madison County, throughout the state of Mississippi, and in all the world.
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
Harvest Church is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We also invite you to read our Membership Covenant, which details our core beliefs and our convictions about the church, leadership, and membership.
LEADERSHIP

KYLE YORK
LEAD PASTOR
Kyle entered into ministry in 2005 after graduating from Mississippi State. He spent several years as a youth pastor and a discipleship pastor before answering God’s call to plant Harvest Church. Kyle and his wife, Jennifer, were married in 2006, and have two sons, Mason and Caleb. Kyle loves to travel, drink coffee, cheer on his Bulldogs (even when it’s hard), and above all he loves spending time with his family.
AARON LA RUE
EXECUTIVE PASTOR
Aaron has served in various lay and vocational ministries since 2010. He completed his Master of Theological Studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry in Theology and Apologetics at Liberty University. He and his wife, Brittni, were married in 2015. Before answering the call to serve as the Associate Pastor of Harvest Church, Aaron and Brittni served as church planters in Central Asia through the International Mission Board. During that time, they had their sons, Charlie and Levi. Since returning to the states, God has blessed them with their third son, Silas. Aaron loves traveling, developing intentional friendships with people of different backgrounds and worldviews, and creating disciples of Christ.

ETHAN JOHNSON
FAMILY PASTOR
Ethan has been in ministry since the summer of 2020, serving as youth pastor and family pastor. Since graduating with his Bachelors from the University of Southern Mississippi, Ethan has been working on his Masters in Pastoral Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Emily, were married in 2021 and have two sons, Houston and Colter. Ethan enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, and having fun with the youth.
WHAT ARE OUR VALUES?
As a church, we hold three key values as essential to growing and multiplying disciples of Jesus:
Grace Transforms:
We believe the grace of Jesus changes us entirely, and we daily devote ourselves to living out this new life in meaningful community with others. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1-12; Galatians 2:20; Colossians 3:1-3; Philippians 1:27; Romans 12:1-2; 1 John 2:3-6; Ephesians 4:11-24)
Faith Multiplies:
A life of faith always multiplies, creating generations of people who have been discipled through loving and intentional relationships. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 1:17; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Colossians 1:3-8; Ephesians 4:11-16; Philippians 2:1-2; Acts 2:42-47)
Love Pursues:
We pursue others with the same love with which God has pursued us. This means selflessly loving our neighbors, serving the needs of others, and reaching the lost. (Matthew 22:34-40; John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16-18; Romans 10:12-15; Romans 12:9-21; Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:9-12; Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 4:10; James 2:14-17)
